Balaur Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Adapted from widely used community templates (e.g. the Apache ICLA/CCLA). Provided as-is and intended to be administered via cla-assistant. This is not legal advice — the Project will have it reviewed by counsel before relying on it for relicensing.

By signing, You agree to the following for all past and future Contributions you submit to the Balaur project (“the Project”, maintained by Alex Radu).

1. Definitions

“Contribution” means any original work of authorship (code, documentation, etc.) that you intentionally submit to the Project.

You grant the Project maintainer and downstream recipients a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and such derivative works.

3. Dual-licensing grant

You agree the Project may license your Contributions under (a) the AGPL-3.0-or-later and (b) a separate commercial license, at the Project’s discretion. You retain copyright to your Contributions.

4. Patent license

You grant a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license for patent claims necessarily infringed by your Contribution alone or combined with the Project.

5. Your representations

Each Contribution is your original creation and you are legally entitled to grant the above licenses. If your employer has rights to work you create, you represent that you have permission to contribute or that the employer has waived such rights for the Project.

6. No obligation

You are not expected to provide support for your Contributions.
